Depending on how much you are drinking, yes. It takes 3500 calories to lose a pound of fat. So if you are drinking 500 calories of alcohol/night, seven days a week (which would be A LOT of alcohol), you'd lose a pound/week.

I stopped drinking for 2 months. I am a major partier too, well I was. Alcohol has a ton of calories and having a few drinks can put you over what you should have for a whole day!!! It will most definately help you lose weighrt. I lost 40lbs since March 18th, so I know that it does work, but you have to exercise too.

Weight Watchers attaches factors to alcoholic beverages. i'm a extremely fat guy (6'2" and 330), i'm getting 33 factors an afternoon - at 3 factors a chew i'm able to easily have 10 beverages and weren't conversing great beverages, thats basically a single rum and coke or equivalent. Drop the beverages will help drop the kilos.

quitting Alcohol any time would help you with everything. It has so many calories, that make you gain weight, also alcohol messes up your metabolism and you can't lose the weight (easily) even if you want to.

U can loose ur weight a bit. But actually it depends how much calories you burn in a day. So even if you stop drinking & not burning ur callories (not working out) then there is a very few cahanes to loose weight. So it will be better to stop drinking & start working out in order to loose weight.
Best of luck.

It depends on how much your having but if youre having 4-5 drinks every night and you stop cold turkey (thats the hard part), after three months I garantee you're gonna have to make new holes in your belt.

i'd say so, because alcohol is fattening (beer bellies everywhere prove that) and because your metabolism slows down when ur asleep, so the later and closer to the time when you plan on going to bed you drink something, the more weight you will gain from it.

Do you know how many empty calories are in beer and other alchohols? Heck yes, it'd be just like giving up full-sugar coke.
