You know, other day I watched Oprah and she said 10 times (I think) that the women who were born and live in USA are so lucky (the show was about How to help African people). And I think she's right, but i don't think that's the most peaceful place to live in....I'm from Europe...=)

I don't know about peaceful. Maybe Japan or Switzerland is peaceful. However, I have been to a lot of European countries. There's no place I'd rather live than here. America is a wonderful place to live.I lived in Canada for two yrs. Canada has subzero temperatures making it quite cold in the winter months,,Social medicine is good. But America is well known for scenic landscapes, its beauty, a conglomerates of different races, where democracy, liberty, justice, other freedoms , civil rights of its citizens is well safeguarded.

Depends on where you are in the USA. I'd say that the coast of Alaska is pretty darn peaceful. On the other hand, Camden, New Jersey is about as peaceful as Lebanon, only the food isn't as good.

Not me. Go Canada. I want to move there before I get killed down here.
You never hear about Canada having problems or anything like that.

I live in Fort Myers, Florida and I am living very peacefully. I wouldn't ever consider moving to New York City for any reason.

well the US is a huge place so I couuldnt answer your question perfectly. I grew up in southern california and I felt extremely safe. Granted it has some of the problems of big metropolitan areas, but its quite safe in general.
