Lack of money! When I split up with my ex about a year ago I moved back in with my parents, TEMPORARILY, and I am still there because I lost my job after the split.

Well I have just moved back with my parents. I am in the last year of my phd and my money has run out.
I could get a job and not move back but my phd would take longer to finish and is not worth it.
Plus I need money to start life after phd.
But i know it is for a limited period and then iwill definitely move out.
I also appreciate its not my parents ideal thing, we live in a small house, so i am grateful.
We all tend to regress about 15 years into 13 year old ness when I am back inthe house so i am trying not to let that happen!

i moved home for 3 months when I had renters in my house. I had to leave my partner who was beating me and my house was not empty yet. it wasn't such a bad situation. I was 35 years old and didn't have a single bill to pay! Parents took care of me like I had never left

I would need to come down with some kind of "mental insanity" condition. Seriously, in my perfectly healthy normal condition, if I went bankrupt, I'd rather be homeless. But in saying that, if one of them got sick and needed my help, then I'd move back in to look after both them...without a doubt...so I really do love them.

the only way I would move back home is if my mother got sick and I had to take care of her.other than that I would never move back! it took 18 yrs to get away from her I can't get sucked back into that mess!

If they would let me have the freedom I have now, and not worry about every little thing that I do. Or if I was financially burdened. I don't think I could live with them for very long....have lived in my own place now for years, and now I even live in a different state. =) (They live in Texas & i'm in Georgia now)
