I have a couple of names picked out for my future kids since I am trying to conceive. Give me your opinion on what you think about these names.
1st name is for a boy: Josiah
2nd name is for a girl: Channel
3rd name is for a boy: Devon
4th name is for a girl: Melody
I would much appreciate your opinions. Thanks.

They are all great names, but you'll know which one is right or if you want to change your mind by the time you get ready to give birth. My sister had her daughters name picked out way in advance only to change it shortly after she was born. I have 3 kids and I just knew what to name them when they were born but it took about the whole pregnancy to figure it out. Then one day it just came to me. I only have 8 weeks left with this one and hoping to think of a name soon.

On the second name, do you mean Channel or Chanel? Channel sounds like changing channels on the TV. The other three names are fine. I really like the name Melody, but then, my best friend's name is Melody, so I may be biased, although, most people that she meets think it's a very pretty name. As for Josiah and Devon, I like Josiah, Devon I'm not so keen on, but it's a very popular name these days. If you're looking for something a little less common, I'd go with Josiah.

I really like all the names except for the second one. Channel! I have never heard it as a name before, maybe that is why. not sure! Good luck trying to concieve. I am also trying!

I think for the girls name you mean Chanel like the clothing line and famous perfume?
Josiah is a nice hebrew/biblical name and I quite like Devon even if it is a county in England (lol kidding.. its a nice county too).

I love the name Josiah.. its really cute. Im not too into the other names though. I like Melody but spelled differently.. Melodie.

I know this is going to sound horrible but if you can think of something that goes with your childs name ie your 2nd name Channel - ever thought that someone in her class at school might call her Channel change or lets swim the channel?
I know that sounds cruel but its the best way to think of things, your child is going to be called this name for the rest of their life and if you can think of something that goes with their name that can be picked upon then dont choose it. Im called Donna and the amount of times i get called Kebab - its soooo annoying and i hate my mother for it at times.

I like Josiah, Devon, and Melody. I don't like fashion based names. It sets the child up to seem spoiled and high maintenance later on.

Josiah and Melody are nice. Why in the world would you name a girl Channel? She would be teased mercilessly!!

Devon for a boy's name is going to get him called a sissy in school. And Josiah is going to be a Josh as in gosh, Josh!
