Well if it happens to yourself, then you can joke and laugh about it after. I gather you're referring to events around the world - are they really funny or something to joke about when lives have been lost??

When you find the place where you can laugh through and past the tears. I lost everything in Katrina. So did many of my family and friends.
We just got together and found we could laugh about a some things. It hurts in a way, and I guess it will for a long time; but laughing helps you to heal.

Some things never do, I remember a sick joke after the shuttle disaster about seven up, and I wanted to hit the teller.

Depends on who you're talking to.
Between friends it's normally a day or two.
On some type of public forum, there are usually over-sensetive people en-masse. Better leave it a lot longer!
