You didn't say how old you are, but it really doesn't matter if you think you are ready for sex. My boyfriend and I felt we were ready for sex while he was a Junior in High School and I was a Sophmore. We were grown up, had plans for the future. He wanted to go to college. I was going to go into the Navy and see the world. We both had problems at home which made our time together that much more special. We had been dating for 2 years and decided it was time to take that next step. After using every birth control known to a teenager and being sold over the counter, I found on my 17th birthday that I was pregnant. Admist a great deal of screaming and yelling on my parents part, we were married just 2 weeks later. The thing is we thought we had made it. We had beat the odds of divorce because we were married for 22 years. Thing is once the kids were out on their own, we found two strangers living at home. To everyone's surprise we divorced two weeks before our 23rd anniversary. He never went to college and I never saw the world. We have three great kids and 6 grandchildren..but the trend continued with them. Now they are each divorced, remarried with children, it seems the heart ache never ends once it starts. Long story short, if you THINK you are ready, you aren't. There is no law in this world that says you have to lose your virginity by your 18th birthday. IF you decide you are ready for sex, what are you willing to risk? Finishing high school (No, I didn't), starting college (No, he didn't), divorce (1 time for me, 5 times for him now). Or finding the one you were made for, but missing her because of ties at home.

sex does change things for the good and bad. You have to be ready for that. If it is something that you think you are ready for then I wouldn't do it until you are sure you are ready. Have you talked to your girlfriend about it?

If you're experiencing fear and are having doubts then you are NOT ready to have sex.
Don't ruin what should be a wonderful experience by forcing yourself to do something you're not ready for.

It's a normal feeling to be afraid, so wait and let it happen slowly. You are probably to young for sex anyways .

Well if you are afraid then don't bother going there at all until you feel comfortable with it.

If you're afraid, you're really not ready. Wait until you are.
