Wearing a pad is very secure and should not hold you back from wearing anything. As long as the skirt is not so short that you can see your underwear you should be fine.
But I'd suggest getting used to tampons. I learned the hard way that Pads are very bad for you. They are a breeding ground for infections. My doctor told me I had to start using tampons for my health. I used to hate them but I found a good company. If you are willing to ty I'd suggest trying "Beyond" they are great tampons. I was never comfortable with tampons until I tried these. Defintely give it a thought.
But in the mean time feel free to wear what ever you want as long as it still fits!

No way. I don't even wear longer skirts when I'm on my period; I usually just wear jeans. I don't like tampons either, and the very thought of someone being able to see the pad through my skirt just grosses me out. That stuff's supposed to be private!

It's not just you. I stick to wearing pants during my period. I won't wear a skirt even if I'm using a tampon and a pad as back-up. I also make sure that their dark pants.
I've never had an accident *knock on wood*, but I'm still paranoid that I could, and a skirt just makes me feel exposed.

Nope, not just you. I don't feel comfortable wearing a skirt at all during my period. I guess what when I'm wearing pants, I know where everything is, and I can totally feel that everything is in place.. but with a skirt, I can't and there's always a chance of something going wrong.

I wouldn't wear a mini skirt if I'm having my period after what happened a few years ago, how it leaked and stained my new skirt. But it would be better if the skirt is black or dark-colored, but still not recommended in my opinion.

sweetie, even tampons can go wrong, if ur having ur periods play it safe and wear something non revealing
Trust me, u need to play it safe it ur wearing pads.
How about adding just a few inches too ur skirt?
ull be much more alluring to the guys cos ur hiding something adn feel safer.
Good on u for using pads, ive never used tampons. Keeps me modest.

I have to agree with the other ladies here. If you feel the need to wear a miniskirt during that time, please wear a tampon. There are so many things that could go wrong otherwise. If that's not an option, don't wear the skirt.

NO, it's not just you. I understand your discomfort considering the choice of clothing you mentioned, and your personal choice of hygiene products.
Myself, I don't feel comfortable wearing a mini skirt, period!

It is not just you. I once wore a mini skirt while I was on my period, even the pad failed. Stick to jeans.
