Will I still be able to convince the judge that I should be emancipated? What do I have to do. I have all the paper and information I need I'm just worried my parents will oppose it and I won't be able to get emancipated.

if your parents don't sign the emancipation you can take them to court, to prove that you are eligible to take care of yourself. your also gonna have to have proof like for example a job, and a stable place to stay.

It will depend heavily on the judge. Look up Social Services in the government section of your phone book and they should be able to appoint a Law Guardian for you who will act as your lawyer. If your reasons for wishing to be emancipated are reasonable and you can demonstrate that you are capable of being responsible for yourself then it should be granted.

sometimes they dont get a choice..if abuse or other circumstances have caused the want for emancipation then you may not have to have them sign it. The judge's job is to listen to each case and judge individually. Just be honest.
