I have an Excel spreadsheet that has already been filled in with formulas and numbers.
I would like to remove all numbers for privacy reasons, but maintain the formulas so that I can email it to someone. Is this possible? When I delete the numbers, I am losing the formulas as well. Thanks~!

You mean you want to delete all constant values and keep on variables.
Easy
Go to Edit > Go to > Specials > constant
and select the type of constants you want to select
this will select all constants in youer sheet, hit Del key and all selected cells (Constants) are gone

good luck

Just delete all the numberscells that lead to that formula. Use the "trace dependents" or "trace precedents" button if you need to see which cells a formula looks at.

But dont delete the formulas themselves. Example
A1 has a 2, B1 has a 2, C1 is a formula = A1 + B1, which will show as a 4, since 2+2 is 4. Just delete the contents of A1 and B1, and C1 will show nothing, or zero.

Though it is not possible to delete the Value of cell because cell which contains the formula dosn't have a value at all. But it's Value depends on relative cell. if the result of formula is numeric then delete the values in the relative cells then you can hide the zero values by Tools->Options->View Then Unckeck Zero Values Check Box. If the result of formula is non numeric/Text then you can also try by deleting the values of last cell.

And at last if problem dosen't solve to this mothed you can hide the cell values to display to set the font color to white or equal to background color. And ofcourse you can always contact me further sugesstions.

You are_not_ losing the formulas - it just seems so. Assuming you did not delete the formula cells, they will keep on working. Try deleting the values and then adding some values - see?

Copy all the sheet and paste it into a new one. When pasting go to edit -> paste special and choose to paste formulas, that should remove the numbers.

Instead of deleting your numbers, enter a zero and your formulas will stay intact!

You can hide those columns. Then go to format cells and check the boxe for locked and hidden. The go to data and click on protection. Password protect the protection and the column cannot be viewed, unless you have the password
