sounds like she may be in heat...

if she is in heat, she is not in pain. But it could also be something else..... If she is in heat, then you can expect to hear her doing this for a couple of weeks, there may also be some bleeding towards the end. My vet said that it was normal. Some cats do, and some cats dont!!

If she is fixed, then she cant be in heat, and your best bet would be to take her to the vet...

I think she is in heat, the sexually receptive part of the cats cycle. The behavior she is exhibiting is how she gets a mate in the wild.

If she isn't fixed (spade) then that is definitely the problem. If she is fixed, then she probably has some kind of hormone imbalance or something, since after female cats are spade, this behavior usually goes away.

Sounds like shes in heat....Heat means shes "horny".Depending on her age she might just need to be spayed.Otherwise your in for her doing this every 2 weeks, every other week or sometimes just every month. This will be joined by constant wailing also eventually usually at like 3 am.Best thing for you and kitty is get her spayed.
If its not a heat issue then it could be "Urinary Tract Infection" which in cats is serious if untreated.Either way.........its time for that dreaded and expensive little old trip to your friendly "VET".
If you love your cat you'll go see whats going on either way. Good luck :)

I'll bet she is in heat. When my first cat was in heat I didn't realize what it was either and called the vet. If she's an outdoor cat it's time to get her fixed!

SHE IS IN HEAT...NOT MAYBE IN HEAT...DEFINATELY IN HEAT......do not waste your money going to the vet right now...they will tell you she is in heat and send you home. However, go ahead and call your vet and tell them she is in heat and needs to be fixed. They will make an appointment to get her fixed in a couple of weeks. They will not fix her while she is in heat.

it can be 2 things:
- she's in heat and then she's not in pain, you can either wait it out or fix her
- she's constipated (i had that with my cat)
but either way the smart thing if u love ur cat is to take her to the vet
