This is obviously a bloke asking this question and by the sound of it between the age of 17 and 25. The dummy sex and the best of the dummy years. Listen carefully and try to understand. Women are better drivers that us men statistically. You don't see many women with hats on the wrong way round trying to get the car round the corners at race track speed on bald tyres whilst on the phone to another stupid mate with a hat on the wrong way round, that happens to be in the same car with you. All this being done whilst listening to the sound system that has cost you more than the car and the insurance and the hat put together at a volume that bursts the windows of property as you pass. Perhaps if you all tried to drive a little better and make the roads safer for everyone your insurance would be more realistic.

Women tend to be two extremes when driving, either very good or downright dangerous. Men and women have different types of accidents. Male drivers often involve speed, hence higher payouts, women have accidents negotiating obstacles, like parking. Put a woman in an empty car park the size of Heathrow, one post in the middle and she'll hit the post. Also there are less female drivers, but as the numbers are evening up, insurance companies are finding that women do have as many accidents as men, especially the ladette.

There is no good reason. They're said to be involved in fewer accidents because there are less female drivers and generally drive less powerful cars but this kind of company won't be going much longer because lawsuits are being started against them for discrimination.
There are actually no figures that officially show women have less accidents, thats a myth that grew into a mythical fact. Whether you're male or female makes no difference, its just a gimmick to get people to use your company and you'll often find that women only insurers are no cheaper than normal ones.

It's not that "they are better drivers" and not even because they "get into fewer accidents" as some have said above but because the accidents they get into are usually at lower speeds and produce less damage.
You could actually argue that women are subject to more accidents because statically they tend to drive around with kids and do more errands driving then men. But theses are typical of fender benders. Men, on the other hand are naturally more aggressive and prone to drive slightly faster then women, so accidents tend to be more serious.

Because although we women have an equal number of accidents ours tend to be minor dents at low speed, rather than full on high speed write offs that are usually involving men, sorry guys but I know you find it annoying that we scratch the alloys on the pavement when we park but it costs less to repair than when you run into the car you were chasing down the road at 60mph!!

Most of your replies complement women by saying things like women have less accidents, are more careful, are more sensible etc and it is all bullshit. The real reason is simply that women put in less driving hours per week than men.

Women tend to drive less quickly. Although they actually have equal numbers of accidents to men, (for the amount of driving they do), they tend not to write off cars as much. Mind you, most of the write-offs I know about have been at the hands of a female.

For the most part because we have fewer accidents and are more mature than men.
Your insurance goes down after you get married.
Funny how men used to always make fun of "women drivers".

That's not the case anymore. Before cell phone days it was. Now women cause more accidents than men because they are constantly on the cell phone and flipping SUVs because they were cleaning up ice cream their kids spilled on the dashboard.
The tides have turned on insurance rates.

It's not that they're better drivers, that's too simplistic. Statistically speaking women have fewer accidents, but that could also be down to women driving less AS WELL AS being safer.
