Junk the car if it has over 50,000 miles... the rest will fall apart once you get that trans and then your stuck with it.

I had a 93' Gl and ive been in this boat. GET RID OF IT

These cars have trans problems by rule. good luck

I don't know the answer, but do not hesitate to replace the transmission if the rest of the car is in good shape. I put a rebuilt transmission in my 1994 Taurus several years ago. Currently have over 134,000 miles on the car and it runs very well. Plan to keep it several more years yet. Many a Taurus has made it to 300,000 miles!

I can,t recall exactly where it is located on a Ford but there will be a tag or some numbers stamped on the transmission that will identify exactly what transmission you have. A dealer or a parts store should be able to tell you where to look in order to positively identify your application. I think that transmission might be a AXOD or AXODE transmission.

do not purchase that motorized vehicle! That motorized vehicle became slightly of junk precise even as it rolled off the assembly line. The transmissions are complete trash and grant you with with not something yet issues. At fifty 8,000 miles, i'd say that automobile became executed. you're extra constructive off paying for a used Honda or Toyota for that type of money. believe me in this one.

I had a Taurus and i think i ended up buying all three transmissions before i finally got it right. Even the mechanics didn't know which one was the correct one. Once i got it fixed, i sold it!!
