I don't understand Christians. I don't understand Muslims.. I don't understand religion in general. I am a political columnist. I write articles based on whoever pays me the most. If it's the Libs, my article will swing that way. If it's the cons, they'll get it.. Everything however is based on facts. But then again, it's all BS. I love my job, because I know what I write is full of caca. And when I read papers, I know that it too,is caca. Which is why I don't do research from the media.
I get here, and I read a few statements, people base facts on the Bible or the Qu'ran. However, both state that they're facts, but disagree. Now which one is it? I would like to know or become familiar with one to possibly become either, but the difference is, I know what is politically correct and what isn't.
When I face this topic, all I see are religions pointing fingers. Come on people. That looks rediculous. Which maybe a reason why some people haven't converted.
I'd really like to know

So you write in a publication that people PAY for?
And I quote..." I write articles based on whoever pays me the most"....and..." If it's the Libs, my article will swing that way. If it's the cons, they'll get it"
and dont forget this bit...."Everything however is based on facts. But then again, it's all BS."
Did you even read what you just wrote???

They're Obviously Both Real. Do you Mean Which One Is More Valid?
They Both Are Just As Valid As Each Other As Well.
I could Start A Religion Now (eg A "Mother Nature" Religion) And Once I Have A alot Of Followers, That Would Be Just As Valid as well.
All A Religion Is Is A Group Of People That See A Supreme being or God (or A no# of Them) In The Same Way

I agree- the problem is that we have to come up with our own answers. Any people that try and pressure others into a particular religion are bs artists. If people love their religion so much because it's true- they have to trust their beliefs in being right in the end. Of course if someone asks a specific question you need to answer it honestly, but people need to learn to keep the guilt to a minimum. What I say on a website is either going to really irritate people or perhaps make them think a little, but at the end of the day you have to come up with your own answers.
I get sick of hearing all the "God said this so you will burn" junk, you are definately not alone in this.
All I can say is that it's good that you are motivated to find the truth and I truly hope you do find it.
All the best

Nothing is fact until it's proven and people's words or books are no proof. It's impossible for anyone to know the whole truth of life. You can only believe that something is true, but that doesn't mean you're necessarily right. Sadly a lot of people fail to realize that.

I'm sure all the finger pointing is why a lot of people haven't converted. i think there are alot of poeple out there who either take religion and form it to mean what they want it to mean or don't investigate it for themselves and just do what their told. I'm a Christian and i think the Bible is the way to go. and you know what, it isn't the most PC book out their because the people in there are flawed. that was the whole reason for Christ's death on the cross, to pay a debt for our sins that we could never pay. with other religions it is about being good and saving yourself. with Christ, it is about faith in God and trusting him to help you out because none of us can do it on our own. i don't go to church because i'm perfect, i go because i'm not. if you are really searching, ask God to show you the right way and you might be surprised what happens!

I wish Abir would elaborate. You are right that the world is full of b.s. I don't believe anything I read in the media or see on the news. I don't even watch the news anymore. "Religion" is all a matter of faith. You must suspend reality sometimes to believe in all the aspects. It is not a science, but a gut feeling that there is a God, there was a Jesus, or there was not. Hope that helps.

The thing is, the christians who unashamedly bash Muslim doesnt know anythin bout Islam . Their main aim is to making slanderous remarks. They get their sources from a non-Islamic site . They never really did study or read The Quran, and they will never do it.
If u r sincere, go to a trusted Islamic site or at least read The Quran translation to know bout Islam
for example this site
http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/fundamentals/tawheed/
it will explain who is Allah s.w.t., or Muhammad s.a.w. and Muslim views on Jesus( Eesa a.s.)

http://muttaqun.com/shahada.html for basics of Islamic belief and more info at that site. also http://thenoblequran.com for a good translation.
It is helpful to have the tafsir (commentary) [see http://muttaqun.com/pc to download it free] of the Quran as you are reading it and to go and ask Muslims to explain things that don't seem right when you first read them. It's all about putting the whole Book into context. To understand the Quran, you must read the Sunnah. It is Quran and Sunnah for a Muslim, not just Quran.

The people are real, it is their delusion that is BS.
There is not one shred of verifiable evidence to even point to the possibility that an all powerful god exists. But people have been blindly killing people in the name of their god since long before recorded history and have not ever ceased to do so.
Religion is nothing more than a poor excuse to kill and promote hate.
