Why do people want to control population. In the USA people are given choices where they can live. They chose to live in where it is heavily populate--Why for convience--I want to be close to everything mentally. Then complain about traffic. There plenty of land in America, but Americans chose not to live there. What State has the most sq miles and the least population----Alaska. U will hear arguments about Alaska----WHY I DO NOT WANT TO LIVE THERE?

As long as we don't tackle the widespread poverty in the world, population explosion is going to thrive. Those who are poor give birth to more children hoping that more children will help alleviate poverty. In fact this gives rise to child labour.
We can't control our country's population overnight. It has to be done with a systematic approach to family planning. Media also has a crucial role to play.

i don't want to sound mean, but i am going to be blunt.......

one thing i wish would happen is that women who want babies out of wedlock stopped.(they milk the government almost as bad as illegals.) make the men pay for those kids and enforce it or jail enforcement get off their butt's and arrest the deadbeat dad's like the government claims in the law., which includes forcing the women to say who the dad's are. then maybe they would be more careful about having so many babies out of wedlock. we can control it without murder or punishment. its called control the stupidity of people who don't care how they are bring kids into this world. make the government put stronger laws to make the unwed moms stop having so many kids they cant afford to raise themselves. this may sound cruel, but its even crueler to put children in hardship because the parents didn't think first.

to sandy p.... i have three kids and married and even though struggling a little. we wanted the 3rd because we had 2 girls.(wanted a boy, father is the last of his family line in males) now i have 3. i love each one, but i knew when to stop . my mother had 3 of us and made it just fine.

Difficult unless you want to go against all ethics. Procreation is a right. I suggest that you embark on mass civil education and explain the existing equations and parameters and why it is desirable to buy your argument. Secondly, launch or re-launch a people friendly reproductive health programme that helpd people to make informed decisions. It will take time but it may be close to observing some ethics.
