I have to use it for splitting videos, adding effects, pasting different videos, etc. Preferably some PRO version.

the simplest is windows movie maker,, easy to use,, easy to edit,, but,, it take hell lot of space,,,,

For mac use final cut pro and windows use sony's Vegas program
