I had a vidal sassoon but I don't like it at all. I got a Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron (1-1/4") and it works wonders for my hair. I shows different heat settings, doesn't damage my hair and cost me $88. Good price for that good of a straightener. You could also check out different brands of straighteners on folica.com.

GHDs are the best straighteners EVER!! This is no exaggeration. Yes they can be expensive but they are worth every penny and they last years. If you buy them from Amazon, they are a wee bit cheaper than you'll find them in shops(about £75 from Amazon)

kms. I use that with bio silk and a ceramic Jubile straightener. I have wavy hair I have straightened every day for 6 years.

Mine is a Chi and is ceramic. I REALLY like it. Since it was expensive ($89) I take great care of it. Good luck!
