Please!Give me some positive reasons to be single, I'm finding it hard to be happy single.?

being single is something that i cherish.. Granted I sometimes hate being single because it gets lonely, but through it all I answer to no one.. When you are single that is the time that you take to get to know who you are.. Start going out to do things you like and things that you want to do, so when you get into a relationship you Will know what you Will and will not tolerate and what you will and will not DO.... And find some single friends... Having friends that are in relationships are good because you learn things from them, but when you are single you need to have some friends that are in the same boat, because then you will be able to enjoy each other, with out them having there man call 12 times asking them Dumb questions... I'm single and mostly happy with being that way because I have been married before and I have been in unhappy relationships before. Here are some positive things about being single in my opinion:
1. Peace of mind. You don't have to sacrifice it to accomodate someone else.
2. Independence. You make things happen for yourself by yourself which means that you don't need to be with someone to accomplish your goals in life.
3. Freedom. You can do what you want when you want how you want and no one has the right to criticize or dictate to you on the decisions in your life.
4. Self Awareness. You can learn a lot about who you are as a person such as what your morals are, what matters most to you in life, what you can accept in life and what boundaries are mandatory for you to be happy.
5. Less Expense. You only have yourself to feed and provide shelter for so if you want a hotdog tonight...it's all you. You don't have to spend a ton on food, laundry, utilities, etc.
6. Preparation. You are steadily preparing yourself for the day when you do meet someone. This could be sooner or later but you will have known what it's like to be on your own and will be able to fully appreciate companionship.

I'm married and can give you several good reasons that it may be preferable to be single. When in a relationship you have to account for your movements, you're partially responsible for the emotional well-being of your partner, and you often have to put aside what you'd like to do in favor of what the other person wants to do. In other words, it takes compromise and sacrifice to maintain a relationship or a marriage.

The next time you leave your house, imagine what it would be like if you had to answer for everywhere you go, every friend you have, and every minute of your day to another person. This gets magnified when there are children present.

For one thing, you don't have to justify every purchase made. If you want to go on a spending spree, no one can say "no" or say that your purchases were unnecessary. You can eat what you want without someone criticising you. You can sleep in your rattiest pajamas and no one will judge you. You can stay out late at the clubs and no one will be angry with you. You can flirt with whomever you want without having to worry about what people will think of you. You can take any job offer that comes through the door without having to worry about how it will affect someone else. Heck, you can move to a different city or state and not worry! You can watch whatever sappy movie you want to, and not have to be concerned if someone wants to watch something different. You can participate in whatever hobbies you want to, without having to concern yourself about someone else's opinion on what you should be doing with your time. There are lots of great reasons to be enjoying the single life! Relax, you will find a significant other (usually when you least expect it), and if you appear relaxed and happy, the chances are greater that someone will notice you, anyway. So, have fun, because once you settle down and find someone to spend your time with, half your freedom goes out the window.

Independence .. a chance to work on your future, to discover ones wants, a time to do something you have always dreamed, a great time to explore and travel, able to go and leave whenever you like, to rediscover why having true friends can mean the world, etc etc.

4. no mess to clean up...like towels on the bathroom floor
