My male cat Sparky has taken an inappropriate amorous interest in my Chia Pet Gigli lately and has taken to mounting the poor girl and humping for hours. The problem is that I think Gigli secretly enjoys the attention as I have caught her smiling sedatedly at times. How do I break this off?

OMG...do you have the "Homer Simpson" Chia Pet? And is the humping taking place over Homer's face? If this is the situation, then please turn your Chia Pet around so that your pus*sy is actually aiming for the growth, that way anything that may "come" from this situation can be used as fertilizer. This makes it a win-win situation for both kitty, Homer, as well as you. It solves a problem in a way that makes everyone happy!

Cats love anything "herbal" for one thing.Catnip is a good example they get a "high" on it and go kinda silly. The usual is for them to eat it not "hump" it though. The only thing for you to do since cats are creatures of habit is MOVE the chia pet to another location inaccessable to your cat. This will stop the annoying "humping" behavior. He will forget it after a time and move on.
If you have'nt neutered him then better go do it now because next step is a very unpleasant odor in every corner of your home.If you have neutered him block corners off in his main hangouts or he will still "mark" his territory in them, and it still smells bad. Good Luck :)

Right. Sure you have. Try a potted cactus in place of your chia pet and see how the Sparky's fly!

It is a teritorial thing. Your cat thinks the chia pet is a threat. Move the chia pet to somewhere your cat can not see it.
