Many people will tell you many things -- and all will say that you have to find what works for you. I too had a healthy diet -- people made fun of me all the time because of my healthy diet -- and I was still putting on weight. Its not fair. Anyway, I tried the alkaline diet and it works. It works. It works!!! Everyone I know, and I mean EVERYONE who worked this diet lost significant weight . It takes a firm mindset, but if you do it, you'll be thrilled. The book I read, which was given to me by a friend ( which was given to her by a friend) is the Ph Miracle, by Robert Young. His website is www.innerlightinc.com. Check it out. I encourage you to find whatever does work for you. If one thing doesn't pan out, something else will. Just keep at it. When you fall down - pick yourself up, shake yourself off, and throw yourself back into it. Good luck.

Its a simple equation:- you have to make your energy expenditure higher than your energy intake if you want to lose weight.
There are no magical ways to loosing weight its that simple and often diet alone may not be the answer. It looks like you may have to start doing some sort of exercise too. Dont jump in too hastily though, do something you know you will be prepared to do, that way you may be able to keep it up rather than it becoming a 6 week fad that is soon forgotten.
I suggest you try and start some form of exercise along with your already heathy diet and make it a life time change.
p.s. weight bearing activity such as running may help that added extra pounds come off a little quicker than a leisurely swim if you are capable of that,
I hope I have been of some use, and good luck,
Paul

Ex cerise along with a healthy diet usually works. Try swimming it's great for all aspects of exercise, and walking can be just as good, got to do it often though. GOOD LUCK!!
p.s. check there is not a medical problem, like an under active thyroid.

Many times what you think is "healthy" really isn't. I suggest keeping track of your calories and make sure that you're burning more than you take in. 3,500 calories equal one pound (not quite sure how many pounds are in a stone). If you take in an extra 3,500 calories that you don't burn off, then you gain 1 pound. Try going to www.sparkpeople.com. They have a very good system of tracking your food intake and exercise, and tailor your diet plan to your needs of losing/maintaining weight by a certain date. And it's free! I've had lots of success with it thus far - it really opens your eyes to what you eat in a day.

Good luck!

What is a healthy diet?
Do you know that since McDonalds has been in existence the size of their portions have increased from small (as being normal) to giant and now they have stopped making their original sized burgers as people consider them small. Serving sizes of everything have grown 3-4 times in the past 10 years. Maybe you have to check on the sizes of your portions. Another thing is everyone has different metabolisms and exercise affects your metabolism alot. other things that cause weight gain are: contraceptives, stress, and diabetes.

Get a blood test for hypothyroidism and diabetes, assuming youhave not had any significant change in diet or lifestyle. Also, take up some exercise, like swimming, or walk to more places. Try and get your 5 portions of fruit and veg a day, and you'll struggle to eat more. Fruit and veg provide all your vitamins and minerals and you use loads of calories to digest them. Good luck.

Cut out all alcohol to begin with, loaded in carbohydrates
5 portions of fresh fruit and veg each day
Lower your fat intake, cook in olive oil only and sparingly
Don't eat between meals and don't snack after dinner
Exercise for 1 hour a day, even walking briskly will help and doesn't cost

Thyroid disease is one of the most common health problems we face today. From a practical standpoint, there are many ways to approach this issue. Learn here https://tr.im/0Sr3m

Hypothyroidism, or underactive thyroid, is a very common problem, and there are many reasons for this, including drinking chlorinated and fluoridated water, and eating brominated flour.

Chlorine, fluoride, and bromine are all in the same family as iodine, and can displace iodine in your thyroid gland.

Secondly, many people simply aren't getting enough iodine in their diet to begin with. The amount you get from iodized salt is just barely enough to prevent you from getting a goiter.

I have no idea what a stone is. If you are trying to lose weight and aren't, then you're not on a healthy diet. Read my post here:
