taking the time to get to know someone means alot to that person even if they r shy, when someone is u don't push u say hello ur name and then go from there with light talk let them come out from their shell, but yes i take the time talk to shy people, one hard thing in life shy people get step on in this world.

most of the time yes...but after some time, the person still has not warm up to me. i will usually give up. I'm not a very patient person. I feel that the shy person should make the effort to meet me half way too!

Yep - they are often the most fun once you draw them out! I have
a lot of friends who are self-proclaimed introverts & they know I'll push & pull them along with me - because I'm definitely an extrovert! I worked with a guy who was (still is) very introverted & shy & I made an effort to get to know him - we had a wonderful friendship & I had strong feelings for him (but that wasn't returned). The more I got to know him, the more I loved him. It didn't work out, but I still value the memory of the times we spent hangin out & havin fun.
