You can get alot of conditioners and products that claim to stop split ends but im not sure how effective these are, none that i've ever tried have worked. Using heat protection stuff if you straighten your hair should help prevent you getting anymore, but some split ends at least are inevitable with heat-styled hair. I find that split ends are less noticeable on curly/wavy hair than straight, so you may want to start scrunching your hair if you dont already, also this doesnt involve heat so is better for your hair. But really the only way to get rid of split ends is a good haircut, I know it's annoying but the sooner you get the splits cut off the sooner you can start growing it again!! Hope this helps you x

The only cure 4 split ends (trichoptilosis) is 2 cut them off. If they aren't cut off they'll continue 2 split until they break off. To prevent them u need 2 go 2 a salon & get pro products, use a wide tooth comb - no brushes, avoid heat - irons, dryer, etc..., & If drying hair start @ roots.

Stop brushing your hair!!!

The most common cause of split ends is brushing. I heard one Hollywood stylist say that brushing shouldn't be done by ANYONE unless they were in the shower, with the water running full on their head, and hair full of conditioner. So you get the drift...it is BAD for your hair. It stretches the hair, putting it under tension, and promotes breakage (split ends).

Get all your split ends cut off by your hair stylist, and switch to a wide toothed comb.

Don't disguise them, ensure that you trim your hair every few weeks. Use enough conditioner and don't use too many things like hair dyers and straighteners. If you do need to use heated tools, then ensure that you use a heat protecting spray. Eat healthily too! I just wish I would do more of what I have told you!

Use hydrating shampoo, don't straighten your hair more than 3 times a week, and get your hair trimmed about 1" every 1.5 months or so.

the BEST thing is to get your hair trimmed regularly (at least every 2 months)

aside from that use good a good moisturizing conditioner weekly like Feria by Loreal, or Self Absorbed (multi-vitamin conditioner) by Bed Head.
