The truth is--all people who die go to hell because it is mankinds common grave. It is not a place of torment, but is the common grave. Here are a few places where hell (Greek "hades") or in (Hebrew "sheol") can be found:
Psalms 139:8: " If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there."
Proverbs 9:18: " But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell."
Proverbs 15:24: "The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath."
Amos 9:2: " Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down."
Jonah 2:2: " And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice." (The belly of the fish that swallowed Jonah would have been his grave, had God not rescued him)
When Adam and Eve sinned, they were told they would return to the ground from where they came. It is comforting to know that no one is being tortured for God is not sadistic but is a loving God. The Bible says the dead know nothing at all. (Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10)
Revelation 20:13,14 assures us that soon death and hell will be done away with.
God wants you to make a dedication to him to do his will, but he will not torture you forever for not doing so. You have the hope of living forever if you do though, so hopefully you will make the right decision.

Only God knows for sure what will happen to each of us.
But why is turning to God, and giving yourself to Him so wrong.. why do people find that so offensive..
It's so easy.. ask for forgiveness of your sins.. accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior..
Read/study the word of God.. try and do your very best at everything.. are helpful, as well as gathering with other Christians. No one is perfect, and we do make mistakes..
I was always told that while we're here, we're suppose to be learning. I know for many, this seems like hell.. and my heart breaks..

This is a day at the country club compared to hell honey. You must accept Jesus as your personal savior to go to heaven, the only other place is hell and you don't want to go there. If you have never been to a church, why don't you try one? I would recommend Assembly of God, Pentecostal Holiness or a non Denominational church, ask questions of the pastor after church if you want.

Life is hell sometimes, but it has it's good moments too. I hope, if any of these religious people are right, that I will be treated fairly for living an authentic life without leaning on the hope that a diety of some kind will save me from myself or anything else.

Some believe that we are living in hell right now. As a Christan, I still don't believe one has to do the "Born Again" thing. Hell is reserved for the truly evil.

The Hell Law says that Hell is reserved exclusively for them that believe in it. Further, the lowest Rung in Hell is reserved for them that believe in it on the supposition that they'll go there if they don't.

Pray for forgiveness of your sins with all your heart, the Lord will forgive.
I believe the earth is a holding place till the Lord is ready for us.

No one has the right to tell you such things as "you're going to hell".

Trust me.
No amount of cut and pasted "bible quotes" says otherwise.

If people want to throw stones in glass houses, then remember, one day they might find the shoe is on the other foot...

Only if you act in an ungodly manner.
Are you unkind to people? Do you have love for others? Will you stop for a broken car on the side of the road? Do you give to charity? Do you foster hatred for anyone? etc.
If you do any of these, then you need God to help you overcome them. If this fails to happen, then you will eventually go to hell.
That said, God knows your heart, and I don't. So I can't tell you.
