I say no. If Jesus is god and god sends all non christians to hell (66% of planet earth) then to be like god we too would treat non christians like scum and punish them for eternity. I ask, why follow the preaching of such an evil being as Jesus?

jesus loves everyone (if they agree with him) if you don't believe the information given (and why should you, it is very second hand and hard to swallow) you get eternity in hell (that makes Jesus pretty evil by my judgement)

I agree with you, but then, I'm agnostic. And that last answer was just great ...."If you can't get behind love everyone, whose the evil one".....well, doesn't that make it worse? I love you, but I still condemn you to the firey pits of hell!
What I say to Christians is this (and I stole this quote) "I consider both of us atheists. I just believe in one less god than you. Once you can understand why you dismiss every other god, then you can understand why I dismiss yours."

What a wonderful world it would be.
We cannot forget the angelic conflict satan's appeal trial.
God does not send all non Christians to hell they make their own choice as to where they spend eternity cannot blame God for one's own choices.
God does not treat non Christians ,as you put it scum !
God loved the world so much that He sent His uniquely born Son so that who ever believes in Him shall never perish but have eternal life!John 3:16

God loves you .
He went to the cross on your behalf.
Take care!

What if Christians think they are following his teachings and they are truly not....The only people Christ ever mentioned in any kind of fire was the hateful religious people, but Christians have taken his words and twisted them to mean non-believers....

I follow Christ's teachings and I think the non-believers rock, but I have serious trouble with fundamentalist Christians, go figure...So maybe it is not Christ that you don't like, maybe it is the people who claim to follow him, but do not act anything like he really was.

Jesus didn't preach that. The makers of what Christianity has become today are the ones preaching that. It's not true, they're trying to scare you into believing in their word. Apparently, it works.

Because Jesus said love everyone, which is contrary to what you're preaching. If you can't get behind "love everybody," who's the evil one?
