wow u have a good point i never thought of that... actually it might be more shallow because they know if it exsits or not...

Well, aren't people pretty selective and shallow when meeting people in any social setting? I don't think profiles on dating sites make it any worse than usual/

I've noticed that when you do a personal profile and it asks you so many questions about yourself to show your true character that you kind of want to fudge the answers a bit (unintentionally). Let's say you answer it quickly and then go back and re-read it and it seems like you're a bit stuck up. One might go back and change it so that they don't look so bad. Its so tempting.
