1) love is so strong that you are willing to sacrifice your life for the one you love. the key here is loving the other person more than you love yourself that you are willing to risk your life for them.

Love is the strongest and greatest force known. Very few ever experience it. People say that they love someone, but do not even know what the word means to be using it. Love is an unconditional force. Love is a force that will manipulate time. Seconds will be stretch to minutes. Hours will be stretched into days. A feeling of time standing still. Love can only happen when every thought of both parties are submitted to each other. Love can only happen through the heart and soul of a being. Love is more than having someones attention through their mind. People use this word very loosely and have degraded the meaning. Love will keep you alive while your heart and lungs stop functioning when in each others presence. Pins and needles from head to toe. It is an enchanting power that trances the mind and lets you feel and speak from the heart. It is perfect peace. It is the combining of two souls and molding them into one. It will create telepathic connection between the two minds, a bridging walkway between the two hearts where each can come and go freely, a connection between each other's feelings where when one feels anything the other will experience it also.
When you submit yourself to this kind of love, yes, if it comes to an end it can kill you. It has killed me. Where do I go to replace someone like this? It is like being in a car with no driver going 100+ and head on colliding with a brickwall with no seatbelt. Recovery time took years. And the years are still slipping by without finding love again. I would say by studying people that almost all people, men and women, are afraid of this feeling. They want it, but fear embracing it. I would die a 1000 times to feel it again.
