Not making fun, just trying to get your thoughts.

Does every animal really have a purpose for being here? What's the purpose of a rhino? Sure they're very nice creatures, but it seems they just eat, poop and sleep.

Or did God just put them here for a little extra decoration?

What are your thoughts? Thank you for your answers :)

Yes! A rhino helpd graze the wild grasses that grow in Africa or India. Just like Elephants, Zebras, Wild Beast, and the like. I often asked about Mosquitos but they even supply food to fresh water creatures and other insects like the Dragon Fly.

By your argument, why did God have humans be babies first, because it seems they just eat, poop and sleep, whereas you forgot one activity the rhino does: reproduce.

So yes, every animal has a purpose. Heck, even if you are a secular evolutionist, every animal has a purpose, whether as part of a food chain or something more impressive.

Yep, everything has a purpose, even ticks and fleas, though I have no clue what the reason is. Have you ever seen a baby rhino? I think if you had, you wouldn't have put rhino's in this question.

Ah, the Great Chain of Being argument, just asked differently.

Everything has has a purpose and value to some degree, even your question.

The fact that human beings has such amazing potential, doesn't stop us behaving like monkeys most of the time.

Perhaps for the same reason that you and I put statues and paintings in our houses. He likes beauty. It could also be you need to see the bigger picture. All animals affect other animals. They are interconnected in food chains and foodwebs.

First we need to understand what each animal does to better understand why GOD put them here. I am not zoologist to tell about what animals do. Maybe you can ask at your local zoo to find out more.
