The bible is writen on 3 levels!
Most sadly only get jest of the first!
Worse most churches teach barly on the first!
That is why so many think the bible is full of it!

The Bible is written in a wide range of styles: some historical, some accounting, some poetry, some parabolic/allegorical, etc. Some people take for allegory what is history, and some take parables too far -- beyond their intended meaning. So, if that is what you're asking, then, yes, it is "possible to interpret the Bible too deeply."

My answer is yes, but......:)
I'm not aware of any part of the Bible that "flat out defines itself" as you described, but I think I do know what you're asking. Yes, there are parts of the Bible that use symbolism, and parts that are difficult to understand, especially without relying on prayer and the guidance of The Holy Spirit towards understanding.
But, there is a school of thought that says that every single item in The Bible has a hidden meaning, and that can really get out of control. Examples are the parables of Christ. He used the parables to teach, and sometimes the stories had a double meaning (parable of the seed). But some take his parables and say that each and every little details represents something else, and sometimes, three and four things. Way out of balance, in my opinion. bottom line? to shadow-y, yeah, I've known people like that. Too shallow-y? Yes, I also believe you need to study and pray and get not only what the Bible says, but how to apply it to your life.

The bible is just another book of myths and legends. Religious groups make it say what ever they want it to say by taking verses from all over it and arranging them to say what they want it to say. You could do exactly the same with a dictionary and no one is claiming that to be "holy"

Good idea but wrong audience. You have to understand the meaning of the words and then its application.
Next time, just say it in a way that more people understand and you'll get a better response.
