I want to execute a programm that will make changes in my registry. Before I do that I want to make a backup of the Registry

Click on start > run
type regedit in it.
click OK
registry editor opens.
Select File > Export
Export registry file dialog opens
Choose the location to save and give a name.
click on save.

You can use this file to restore your registry by selecting import and choosing this file back again.

Follow these steps to back up your registry
- Click “Start -> Run”
- Type “regedit” (no quotes) Here you’ll see the registry interface!
- Then from the menu bar click “File -> Export”
- Browse to any location you like and give a file name
- A copy of your registry is saved!

Either in the Start -> Run -> regedit or in a command prompt >regedit
You may need to be auser with administrative priviledge.

Click start.
Click Run.
Type in regedit.
Click OK.
Your now in your system's registry.
