Islam and prophet Muhammad gave women the equal status they were denied for so long by humans, which undoubtedly increased the self esteem of Muslim women. Islam taught that women are not lower than men which is the idea that existed in pre-Islamic times where baby girls were buried alive.
Muslim women know in Islam that God judges each soul according its deeds, irrespective of gender. God is close to them irrespective of male, female, rich or poor.

5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

It's much the same in Judaism and Christianity. The bible in fact does instruct women to cover their heads, especially in the house of God. The bible says men are the heads of the household, and women are not fit to teach the word. THe differences are semantical.

I don't think Mohammed said anything like that at all.
A Saudi once told me "you can tell what a brilliant man Mohammed was, not by the lines he wrote but by what he said between the lines". That tells you that this religion like Judaism and Christianity is just another power structure that happens to be dominated by men.

ISLAM HOLDS WOMAN HIGHER THAN MEN.

a man asked Muhammed-pbuh - who deserves the most of my care and attention? muhammed-pbuh replied -- 'ur mother'. the man replied - ' who after my mother?' muhammed replied -- 'ur mother'. the man again asked -- 'who after my mother?' muhammed for the 3rd time said - 'ur mother.' the man asked for the 4th time - who after my mother?'' muhammed -pbuh replied --'ur father.'
infact the mother gets the gold cup, the silver cup and the bronze cup while the father has to console himself with a consolation prize.
RESPECT FOR WIVES IN ISLAM
MUHAMMED-pbuh said
"when man marries, he completes half of his faith, the rest half of it is by serving Allah."
Muhammed-pbuh has said -- " the most perfect of the beleiver and the best of the character, the best of u are those among you who are best to their wives."

I'm surprised how your brain is coming up with such rubbish. Truly devil work.
Women and men both are asked to lower their gaze and not mingle with each other in private. Islam respects women and all Muslim women are supposed to dress modestly and not like they are selling themselves.

I don't know what Mohammed said about women, but no matter what he's said, it causes no harm to my self-esteem! He's a false prophet. My God, Yahweh, says that He is no respector of persons, in other words, women are the same in His eyes as men!
