I do! I feel that exact way. I'm totally against the war, but I feel for and support the troops and the people of Iraq!

Going was the right thing to do. Staying is the right thing to do.

There have been mistakes, some that have cost lives. That's called combat. It has always been that way, it will always be that way.

Most of the guys over there WANT to be there... the VAST majority. I don't know where people get the idea that there are large numbers of troops there against their will. I went willingly, stayed willingly and will go back willingly. I've been in 22 years, so I'm not exactly some naive rookie. Why do people refuse to see the good things that our dudes are doing there? You'd rather listen to some news report of doom and gloom than take the word of those of who have been there. Do you think because we wear a uniform that we blindly tow the party line? We are losing friends, we are watching the people we live with go home with serious wounds, we put ourselves in the line of fire day in and day out, yet we continue to scream about how right this is. Does that mean nothing? What's wrong with you people?

As a Soldier I disagree with the way some things have been handled at the beginning of the war but now that we are there, I firmly believe we need to stay in order to prevent Iraq from becomming a terrorist playground. The Iraqi forces are starting to take responsibility of their cities and doing a pretty good job at it too. I think that in the future Iraq will be quite prosperous, but as a democratic country in the middle of SW Asia, it will be difficult for them.

I am proud to serve in Iraq and I would go back in a minute. American's just don't see what we see over there and the good being done, they only see the news and all the negativity.

Thank you for supporting the Soldiers and when you can, look for the good things going on in Iraq instead of listening to mainstream media.

Few people think our soldiers should die. When people say "support our troops", though, it's often just used to cut off debate about the real issue of the justness of the war in Iraq. When people say that they support the troops but not the war, the pro-war people pull out the John Kerry card and say that those against the war are flip-flopping on the issue.

The problem is that the troops don't have a choice which war they can support. They must follow orders or face jail time. We should support our troops by not sending them to fight in a war that is unjust and a waste of their lives. When we as a country realize that our president has made a grevious error, then the troops will come home.

Real America, while concerned, supports the war in Iraq. And, of course, we support the troops.
Liberals and the News Media hate the military all the time whether we're fighting terrorism or not.
The troops DO support the war in Iraq. Don't be fooled by propaganda.

I support the troops AND their mission.

I think that those that would say they support the troops but not their mission are misstating themselves. They are basically saying: "I support the troops but I want them to lose the war because I do not like the war." That is not support.

The terms are mutually exclusive. That is, if one supports the troops then, logically, one wants them to succeed in their mission. That means one indirectly supports whatever mission the troops are on.

For example, if our troops begin to attack France just for fun, then one would not support the mission and by association with that event one would not support the troops.

Too many in this country (and in Yahoo Answers) are blinded by hatred (Liberals). Hatred of President Bush. You want the troops to lose the war so you can blame Bush. That is so Viet Nam of you.

So be honest with us and yourself. You do not support the mission to liberate Iraq. You do not support the troops. You do not support the War on Terror and that is why you hate President Bush. Because President Bush is fighting the War on Terror.

To say you support the troops but not their mission is illogical.

But then so is Liberalism.

I do support the troops. Agreed with the war in the beginning. Do not now. I think we need to leave. Nothing else we can do there now and it is too dangerous. I do support the men and women in that situation. Your doing are great thing for a misguided administration.

I am a strong supporter for our troops. I don't agree with trying to help out a country that doesn't have any appreciation for life. If they did they would work harder for the value of life, not destroying it.There has been so many countless lives lost in countries like that.
