Squats, an easy one to do at home and in the work place. Stand up straight with a chair behind you and go down to sit on the chair but stop just before your bum touches the seat, hold for 10 seconds and repeat 12 times each day.

I cured my sciatica with this natural treatment ( http://cure-sciatica.info )
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

Both full squats and barbel longes are great however most gyms have a machine specifically designed for your glutes (Butt). Just so you know it is highly effective, you kinda kneel down on it supporting your body with your foreares as you hold onto a grip with you hands you then push the weights backwards and upwards fully extending your leg. At first if feels as if you are working your quads (Thighs) as it does but in later sets your butt cheeks really get hammerd. Good luck

As they said, squats and lunges are quite good. Also you may try pilates, ballet or dancing - they are all proven to get your bum in shape. I personally prefer ice skating - not only it keeps my bottom in shape, it is way more interesting than doing squats!

Tell him to get off his backside and get out for a walk! There'll be plenty of previously unseen scenery to keep him interested especially if he doesn't walk regularly. Maybe pack a bag for him with a sarnie and a Mars Bar and he'll be gone all day long! When he's gone, give me a call and we'll fix your bottom!

Squats, leg lifts, a position where you kneel on all fours and bend one knee at a time up to your chest then straighten it all out behind you. That last one works good for me.

Leg lifts.
Either standing, raise your leg straight up behind you, or on all fours, extend your leg out behind you and lift.
Will lift the bum and make it more pert.
