Oh that brings back memories of when I was young and single! I used to get so nervous when I was going to call a girl! Anyway, maybe make a list of things to talk about - questions like how was your day; what's new; heard any good songs lately ( OK a bit lame but you get the picture). Hopefully, you know your b/f pretty well by now so you should know what he likes and so on. If you have these nearby, you won't get too nervous and have your mind go blank - silence can be pretty scary! Think of it as being an actress with her lines - you wouldn't go on stage without your lines. Don't read them like you're reading a book out loud. Just quickly look at what it says e.g. What's new? Songs? This weekend? Maybe practise it - pick up the phone but don't dial the number. Then try asking these things. Also, LISTEN to what he says and be interested. I can tell you know that people LOVE to know that you're interested in what they're saying. Good luck and remember he's probably just as scared as you! Let us know how you go! :-)

Just pick up the phone and call him. Just know its not a complete stranger you are calling and its someone that has been your friend for 2 years. In time as you continue to call, the easier it will get. There really isn't anything to be scared about, the phone will not bite you.

Thats really cool! i know it feels so scary but that just shows how much you like him and how much you care what he thinks of you. just take a deep breath and do it! mayb he's also scared? act confident, (even if you feel you about to pass out) and you will soon start to feel confident! force it for now and the more you do it, the better you'll begin to feel. practice makes perfect! and sweetie.. he definitely sounds worth it, after 2 years!!

Mindy, don't be worried about trying to impress him. Just talk about things that you did together and possible future things to do, like go to a movie. It's always a bit goofy when you are younger, but time will cure this to a point. Good luck to ya!!!GaryT

When you really like someone you tend to get nervous around them and sometimes you don't know how to act. Its totally normal love, enjoy it before you start with any routine.

You could try getting drunk beforehand...
Or what about masturbating while you talk to him?
Hope this helps.
