You will certainly go to jail if your fail to provide a justifiable reason why you are taking the drugs in the first place.
If it was administered to you by your doctor in order to address a particular physical condition, then by all means spit it out the way your doctor mentioned it to you.
Otherwise, if you have voluntarily administered this drug to yourself, just the same you thought you have enough reasons for doing so. Only that these reasons might not be in accordance with the way the drugs should affect you physically or mentally.
Therefore, as long as you have not taken this drug based on a wrong preposition, or to just address a problem temporarily, then just state your reasons straightforward.
The fact that you are asking good excuses for not passing a drug screen means that you have taken this drug without proper medical consultation/administration.
Don't sugarcoat the reasons you will have for this situation. You cannot correct your first mistake by making another one. It will only aggravate your situation.

Drug screening should go the way that lie detectors have gone. False positives have messed up a lot of lives. Unfortunately you can't do much about it. Hopefully some smart lawyer will take it on and make a name for themselves like F lee bailey did with lie dectectors.

TELL your Parole Officer (if that's the issue here and you have to go to pee-and-tell) that you're takin it! I'm asuming the drug you're talking about is legal where you are. If it isn't I can't offer any useful advice, so sorry...

If you've proved positive for opium, you could say you were eating a lot of poppy seeds.
It worked on Seinfeld.

If it's prescribed, there's your "excuse". If it's not, and you're just taking it for sh*ts and giggles, have fun in jail.
