From your lack of details, it's hard to say. So I'm going to give some vague advise. He's your ex for a reason. You're going to be in love with him for a while since it does take time to get over someone despite whatever happened or how nasty the breakup was. The only thing that will help is to get on with your life and before you know it, things will be better.

well your question is sort of vague.
why is he your ex ? why did you break up ?
if there was a reason of the break up then think of that reason.
it takes time for everyone to get over one relationship and move on to the next - so give yourself time ! everyone is different and every relationship is different so it may take longer for some to move on...
engage yourself in something you've always wanted to do - such as join a painting class / learn horse riding / go swimming everyday - make new friends - keep yourself occupied ....
good luck

You probably just need some closure. If this person is attached, leave him/her alone. If he/she is not, then you can talk to the person about your feelings as well as theirs. You need to know exactly where they stand as far as the relationship goes. If you already know, he/she isn't interested, I am afraid you're just going to have to let it go. It will be hard but know that time does heal. The more you don't dwell on the past, the more progress you will make. So just move on with your life, work on yourself, take up some hobbies, etc. Seriously, enjoy the single life as much as you can.

Best thing is to get over it. an ex is an ex for a reason so go with that. If he made you the ex then that should be enoughfor you to get over it and if you made him the ex...you did it for a reason. Move on.

This sucks! and take it from someone who has been there 3 times. and every single time its been because i had chosen NOT to get over them. they had long moved on and i was still hanging onto false hope. if this person was'nt right for you then write down all the points why this is so. remind yourself of these everytime you hold onto her. its hard, but moving on is all about waking up every morning and reminding yourself you have to move on, keep moving forward. ps: the longer you stay hooked on her, the less time you are giving yourself to meet someone else who is deserving of your love!

Think and think hard about it before you do anything. Love can conquer all, if two people are committed to each other, but if it is only one sided, it is no good.Problems have split you apart, and those problems may still exist, if you get back together.
