if u want to save files from Microsoft Word or Excel, u need to install Acrobat Distiller [Writer], then u can do as u need.

You can't save a PDF file execpt in a full version of Adobe Acrobat and then you have to turn it into a file by "distilling" it.

In a FORM in which the creator allows you to save things, such as the IRS tax forms, it should work from within Acrobat Reader, unless they have made it locked so it won't save.

The exact working of the error messsage is critical in this case. You should be able to correct the path to point at your desktop, My Documents, or wherever. It will however, save as a PDF file, not as a text file or word document.
