Can someone please tell me the formula for spacing pleats when making draperies?

The easiest way is going to a large fabric store and inquire about the heavy tape that is sewn flat on the drapery top. After it is in place you need "finger prong" notions-- that by using the "fingers" in the proper slots, you then pleat your drape. There are several kinds-- the persons at the fabric place will know and show you how. So, drapery tape ( or whatever it's called)-- then the metal piece that both pleats and has a hook for hanging.
