By not placing yourself in a situation where you might lust (ex. beach, strip club, etc.). Mainly though, you have to take initiative and force yourself not to think sexual thoughts. Sure the thoughts may pop up but don't take it to the next level - cut them off before they manifest into something more. Say you saw a woman/man you were attracted to, instead of oogling, just don't stare. The more you stare, the more you're going to dwell, and the more you will lust if lust is one of your problems like it is for most people. It won't be easy at first, it will take some time getting used to. But the more you practice it, the easier it will get. You may always get temptations but it is what you do with it. You don't always have to do what you think your mind is telling you. Go beyond that and be in control.

You cannot fully give up lust but you can try and control it. Put your mind to other things such as reading some motivational or inspirational books, take up some games or sport, get involved in some volunteer work etc., Practice this and gradually you will find there are so many other meaningful things to think about and that will help you control lust.

Lust is normal. You cant give it up. All you can do is not act on it.

Wow everybody seems to be telling you not to.......

Anyhow, lust is like any other vice (laziness, excessive eating.....) if its not controlled it can be harmful to you, it has the power to enslave you.......

Now however much i like to enjoy life, i do not care for being enslaved to my own desire ---- i mean thats what leads to any form of addiction, whether its drugs, poker or sex even....

The answer to all three and to any addiction is the same:

WILLPOWER.

Whether yours is strong enough on your own or you need someone's help is up to you to figure out.

One way is to overdo it. You will get fed up. It is then easy to give up because you do not like it anymore. Other way is to seek puritanical ways through prayer and meditation. This needs lot of determination.

Were you fixed when you were a baby? If not, you definately need to talk to your doctor about this because boys who aren't fixed become sexual predators.
