I do not think it is immoral, but sense of morality varies from person to person and culture to culture. Go for it if you believe it will make you look better and would improve your self-confidence. But if you have a feeling that it is sin/immoral and that you would be going against your conscience if you do a cosmetic surgery, then refrain from it. After all it is better to have a clearer conscience than a longer nose.

Immoral lies within what an individual person deems moral or immoral. For example, typically the majority of people would deem murder, child molestation and rape as immoral. Things that individuals do to themselves is really up to them because it is no one else's business to put a label on it and tell them if it is immoral for them. Cosmetic surgery is up to the individual. So the immorality of the issue as it pertains to you has to be decided by you. You just have to decipher whether you disagree with you because we are altering our natural, "higher power" given gifts; or if it is okay to correct those things that we don't like about ourselves because we have the opportunity to do so with increases in modern medicine. Some would say it could be both: immoral if you are doing it based on other's perceptions of you and it is purely vain reasons; moral if you are correcting an abnormality on a small child that can avoid years of embarrassment and ridicule from other children that can often be cruel in school if someone looks significantly different based on that abnormality. . .

I don't believe it is immoral. The world is filled with many more things that could be considered immoral. That being said, it is not something I would do.

Morality is about interaction between people. Cosmetic surgery just affects yourself. The purpose of morality is to allow people to live among each other. A hermit needs no morality because he interacts with nobody, unless you consider his morality about animals around him and such.

What you do to yourself is something you have to deal with yourself. Unless what you do to yourself negatively affects those around you somehow, it really can't be immoral. Of course, you have to figure out your own morality, because it is you who has to deal with your neighbors. Think for yourself before accepting the judgements of others.

No, i trust there is not something incorrect with beauty surgical operation. in my opinion, in recent times, our society values appearances a lot that it may be contradictory for beauty surgical operation to not be familiar. beauty surgical operation isn't so diverse from makeup; they both can dramatically regulate one's visual charm. If our present day technology and technologies can help human beings's favor to seem a particular way, why is that incorrect? some human beings will argue this is unnatural, yet i extremely do not see the way it really is proper. drugs is unnatural. modern-day society is unnatural. we stay in a man made international.

I don't think it is immoral - humans like other creatures base their reactions upon vision and appearance. It is best for someone to be happy with how others view them and how they view themsleves.

It depends about what the motive is behind the surgery. Is it to fix a deformity from an accident?

I think if it is to correct a disfegurment like after burn or fracture or a deformed organ it is not but if it is to make a person more good looking or sexy, it is, because it carries the meaning that you are not satisfied with how your God had created you.

If you think it may cause you to become vain and you are concerned about that then it maybe it would not be right.
If it is someone else that is doing this, that is their choice, and you should not judge.
