sounds like she has stress incontinence, the muscle that is used to stop and start you urinating may be weak especially if she has had children. she could try doing pelvic floor exercises. To find the muscle in question when she starts to urinate keep stopping and starting and she will feel the muscle tense and relax. keep doing that excises but not when urinating several times a day this will strengthen pelvic floor muscles and may help. The smell could be leaking of small amounts of urine through out the day which sounds likely. There is also incontinent pads that you can buy in the chemist which will help her stay fresh.

She might be suffering a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection). This is really frustrating specially the smell. While waiting for a doctor's appointment, she could take a natural remedy for the meanwhile, cranberry juice. I tried it and it really relieved me. Plus, she must take at least 8-10 glasses of water a day.

i have seen this on 2 occasions. a urinary tract infection, or hepatitus.
one of the key signs of hepatitus is the skin and eyes turn a funny yellow color, and the urine is real dark and stinks like crazy.
try drinking a boat load of cranberry juice before you go to the doctor. most infections can be solved by cranberry juice.

Age? Colour of urine? previous pregnacy and delivery? Since when? There are many Q. that need to be answered before telling you what it could be.
My best guess is urinary tract infection. Tell me if it proved right.

Is she fat? Because the fatty tissue can squeeze the bladder and make accidents happen. She may need to use a medicated douche or see a doctor.
