It is not that he placed women under men. That was the ambient situation, he just did not try to make it any better.

It was never Mohamed's (peace be upon him) job to place woman into catagries

God almighty has his words in the holy Quran - not Mohamed's words - he did'nt make the rules

Where in the world does the idea come from that woman in islam are ill-treated?
People of the world whether muslim or non-muslim are made up of good and bad / rich or poor / educated or not -- so if a muslim man ill treats his wife, he is not doing so under the flag of Islam

Islamic law freed woman from being slaves but circumstances of the world may destroy that.
Islam holds woman at a higher status than any other faith does.
Most woman dressed in Hijab have chosen to do by their own free will

You are wrong. Why are you quoting all rubbish. Will you not grow up and be responsible??

Watch for yourself first and then decide, whether islam is unjust towards women. DOnt just trust the biased media

Know what's the position of women in islam

"Women's rights in islam - protected or subjugated"

God sara ur just an ignorant little racist so and so!

We get treated just fine ok!!!! Infact I get treated better than many of my non muslim mates so that tells u how wrong u are when it comes to islam and women!!!!!

Just because we dont like to dance around parading our bodies to every tom dick and harry it does not mean we are opressed or get treated badly, it just mean we have dignity and modesty something which alot of women from the west are lacking!!!

Now go get a life!!!!!!!!

As far as my knowledge is concerned, he did NOT used this idom thing. He specifically said in a lot of places that women are esteemed. Women in the form of mother, wife, daughter or sister, or even in step/foster mother, daughter and sister.

Stop making up such statements. You are just jealous that Islam treats women with so much repsect that you just wish you were a Muslim woman or were treated like a queen by your husband and family.

u should do some homework before posting a question here. the verse u gave speaks and gives proof by itself. but still i would give u some examples, just a few for a beginner like u.

ISLAM HOLDS WOMAN HIGHER THAN MEN.

Muhammed-pbuh also said -- ' Paradise lies at the feet of ur mother'

a man asked Muhammed-pbuh - who deserves the most of my care and attention? muhammed-pbuh replied -- 'ur mother'. the man replied - ' who after my mother?' muhammed replied -- 'ur mother'. the man again asked -- 'who after my mother?' muhammed for the 3rd time said - 'ur mother.' the man asked for the 4th time - who after my mother?'' muhammed -pbuh replied --'ur father.'

infact the mother gets the gold cup, the silver cup and the bronze cup while the father has to console himself with a consolation prize.

RESPECT FOR WIVES IN ISLAM

MUHAMMED-pbuh said
"when man marries, he completes half of his faith, the rest half of it is by serving Allah."

Muhammed-pbuh has said -- " the most perfect of the beleiver and the best of the character, the best of u are those among you who are best to their wives."
