they both have their good and bad points. single life does have all that freedom, but after a while it's nice to have someone to share things with. being in a relationship can be good for self-confidence. of course it has to be a good relationship for that. the best balance i suppose is a relationship that allows you some of the freedom that you had as a single person and that is based on mutual respect. easier said then done, i know.

I think it depends on the situation. Being single is the time a person needs to discover themselves. It allows you to meet different people and have a better sense of what kind of person you want to be with since you can date more than one person. I also believe being single is a necessary choice if a person coming out of a relationship because time is needed to get over that person to avoid carrying baggage into the next relationship. Some fear being single because it may seem like they cant get anyone or they fear being alone.
Being involved is better if you are involved with the right person. Being in a LOVING and HEALTHY relationship is far better than being single because you have someone to share your life with. But this is only if the person is worthy of your time and attention.

I think it's good to be both. I'm only 19 and not exactly at liberty to say what's right and wrong as far as relationships go. But in my opinion..it's good to have close relationships that last 6 months to a year or 2 (yea it's messed up to put a time limit on it but whatever), then I feel like I have to move on eventually because we are both young and need to have more different experiences in different environments and chances to learn about other people before we realize what we truely want.
I like being single because it adds to my "independence." I like knowing I don't need someone around to continue or be happy in life.

Well its all depends on the person, lots of guys like to be single, but if u find the right person that treats u with respect and everything then u should be involved or u could be missing out on ur life. so basically if being single works for you go for it, if being involved works for you go for, live life to its fullest!!!

this is, of course, my personal opinion- like yin and yang, every human, be it a girl or a guy needs a partner. it is that need to be completed and to belong. so, yes it is good to be involved.
but on the other hand, it is the worst to be involved with the wrong person. if it is the "right" one, then better be involved. but if not, then i suggest, be single. don't have relationships just for the sake of them. have relationships because of how the other person makes you feel :)

Single & Loving It
Going out with whomever you want. Staying up late polishing your nails. Wearing a facial mask without fear of being found out. Ah, the joys of being a singleton. Live it up!
