Depression could be one of the reasons that she feels sad but this urge to kill someone could be something else. She needs help , a phychiatrist maybe.

Now, probably all this obsession comes from her depression, your job is to stay near her and support her and advice her. You should convince her to go to a doctor or a psychologyst .Convince her to tell her parents about this problem and make it a familiar issue. Be sure to check on what kind of movies she watches. You your self sleep at her house some day and watch together movies which talk about love, and why not even cartoons. Tell jokes and try to have a very normal time together just like the old times. The depression can be coused by some continious stress, try to make her talk about this problems. Do not judge her about anything, Ask her if she has familiar problems. Tell her a secret you have so you can encourage her to talk. Cry with her if she cries, comfort her. Play games together. Do shopping, study , read, anything that can make her forget her depression. Always be careful in what you say.

She needs help and fast. It could be you, who knows. You are handy. No, seriously, she probably needs an anti-depression for the lack of Serotonin, many good ones, they start on a low dose and gradually work up to the dose she does best with. If she does not need it, she won't feel any different. If she improves, apparently her brain needed the med. A doctor could tell her , a physiologist, the one that is the medical doctor as well. You have to be very careful with these anti-depression meds as it might not be the right one, etc. This may fall under the same thoughts as suicide, so she needs to go as soon as possible. I think you should tell one of the parents, but you may end your friendship, but save her life. I hope they are not nuts and not handle it properly, which in that case, you may have to let your parents decide what to do.Good luck and God bless you with such a heavy burden.

That is such a loud cry for help from your friend! Tell her parents, tell the police, get her help ASAP. She is a danger to herself and to others. It doesn't matter whether she is depressed or not, the fact that she is thinking and talking about it at all is a dangerous sign. Get her help.
Sometimes it is better to overdo things rather doing nothing at all!
If she does kill someone, anyone, how will it affect the rest of her family and friends. This crime is preventable and her urges are treatable; help your friend! Tell someone now!

Sounds like a bit more than just depression. Find help for her. It may seem like betrayal, but it isn't - to ignore it until something happens would be true betrayal. Not sure how young you/she is, but contact her parents/teacher, or even the police or a hospital. Take it seriously. Even if she doesn't harm someone else, she may do harm to herself. You could save her life - or someone else's.

I am not sure if it is the depression, but there is definitely some kind of mental health issues going on. You may not want to call the police on her because she is a friend, but I would definitely call someone such as the hospital or 911. Please get help for her before she does something you'll both regret.

You have to go to the police, because she is a threat to others or herself...the might take her to a mental hospital for 72 hour observation...you better get her some help before she does something that a prescription drug might have prevented...if you are truly her friend...go to the police...her parents might not believe you anyway...if you could get proof that she is saying this..like a tape recording that would really help

Your friend needs a helping hand. I think you could be quite handy in appeasing her. Ask her about the whole matter. And then try to find out a way.
All the best

I think you need to call the police or ring a mental hospital. I know she is your friend but it may be the best thing for her she might get help that she needs.

I guess I would tell someone close in authority a parent or teacher (not sure the age) that is about all you can do.
and don't sleep alone in the same house.
Try and get her to seek medical help, but remember many times they won't do it.
