you need to come off them slowly, cut your dosage down a bit at a time that way the side effect will not be so bad.
good luck hope you feel better soon.

Yes I've had the problem. I used to come off it and get so depressed I was practically suicidal.
There were times I couldn't drive because it was so bad. There should be no other side effects other than brain shivers.
Take a look: http://depression.about.com/cs/venlafaxine/a/brainshivers.htm
Cut the dosage every two weeks until your only taking one small cap.

Yes its really bad, worse than the original problem often. Suicide is a known side effect (Honestly) its in the same group as prozac which has similar problems.
From experience and this might not be right for you. Sweat it out, exercise drink loads of water, it is a distraction, helps flush it out and increases endomorphines. Good luck.

If you are going of this then I hope it is with your doctors approval. He/she will give you clear guidelines about withdrawal from this antidepressant. Do not do it cold turkey or you could have severe emotional problems.

You should do it with the help of a doctor. Dangerous side effects may ensue otherwise. If you suffer from depression, have you suddenly been cured of it? Please be careful. Take care of yourself.
