for a wepoan as seen in the movie land of the dead, it was carried by cholo, and it appears to be some kind of crossbow or spear gun, inside steel casing, i was wanting some concepts on how to make one, all ideas are welcome, but plz only respond if your serious, thank you

Use a high tension spring with a lever or pulley system to c.o.c.k. it easy.
On a side note i had to use periods to say cock lol eventhough i was using the word in an clean and meaningful manner.
