We split up 2 weeks ago. We had a long distance relationsip for 3 & half years, I thought he was the one. We moved in together at the beginning of this year with 3 friends, out of town. He became distant & moody & I did everything I could to make it work but couldn't seem to make him happy. We didn't see our friends that much & it was hard. I found out he told my best friend that he was thinking of breaking up with me & as it had crossed my mind anyway I decided to end it & told him he couldn't give me the committment I needed - after 4 years we had never discussed the future! He didn't know I knew he wanted to end it too, but he did get upset. He moved out & I started to move on.
Last night he said he couldn't cope without me, he lost his job & everything was falling apart around him. He is seeing me independent & he said it reminds him if the girl he first fell in love with. I told him I wasn't sure he could give me what I want. He said once he'd sorted himself out he wants to try.

In two weeks. God he went downhill fast :|. If you love him and want to give it a go. Then go for it, just be careful he aint going to use you as a crutch to get his life back on track n then end it again.
After three and a half years and moving in together, he should have been ready for a commitment of some kind though.
I would consider it seriously if i was you and if you have any doubts at all. i would leave it as it is and move on.
There is someone out there for you willing to give you thesame kind of commitment that you seek

baby u must be my shadow. It happened to me. He left me coz he had impregnanted another girl. I moved on. He had 2 kids with this woman and things fell apart. He married a second wife and again things fell apart again. He came back to me coz I was happy , independent and full of everything a woman wud want but I didnt rush into marrying another guy coz i knew one day he would come back. When we met afetr 5yrs we knew we were meant fo each other. I gave him a second chance and now we are back in love for the past 3yrs and he has planned that we are getting married in December. My reconciliation worked out coz I knew I was the only one for him. Good luck hope yours will be like mine. I am glad I took him back.
