Hello!! :o) I can't help but think that IF it WAS the 'Mother, Son and Holy Ghost' - some people would be asking, "Why can't it be the 'Father, Son and Holy Ghost'. I think it's important to acknowledge that our horrible 'Uncle Nick' [or whoever] is NOT representative of a 'man' as God intended him to be. There seems to be very few 'righteous men' in the world and the examples of 'men' that most of us know - make one wonder [perhaps] the same thing you're wondering. Just a thought. Craig!! :o)

Because the Mother was created by the Father, as was the Son Yeshua Messiah and the Ruach - the Holy Spirit.

If you think God is a woman, consider this: God created Adam in His own image. If you're referring to Mary as the mother, she wasn't holy.

Because the system is patriarchal. Mary is revered in the Catholic faith, just not included in the trinity.

Jesus refered to Him as Father.
Jhn 8:28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am [he], and [that] I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.
Jhn 10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Jhn 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father [is] in me, and I in him.
Jhn 12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
Jhn 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I [am] in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
Jhn 14:31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Luk 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

You can't change it just because you don't like it.
The trinity is and always will be father, son, holy spirit.
If you want another version, you want another faith.

Because this notion has no theological basis from any historically accepted sources. Just because we might want something to be true about God doesn't mean that our desire will make that thing true.

You can call it what you want in your own religion.
Fatherhood implies more transcendence and motherhood implies more immanence since the Father is transcendent it's more fitting. Besides, Jesus called him Father.
