No. I'm a Hindu. But I was raised with Santa, Easter Bunny, and the tooth fairy in sunny CA. LOL My mother said that she had a difficult time lying to us about these characters...my children will be raised differently ( not only because we live in India, but because there is a level of deception.) And I figured the truth about Santa when I was 6 on my own.

I have told them about Christmas, about Kwanzaa, about the pagan fertility festivals of Eostre, about Easter, about the Easter bunny, about Santa Claus, about whatever they want to know about...I can't count how many different countries and customs and belief systems we have explored. I haven't asked them to believe or not believe anything, I just give them as much information as they can handle for their age. I respect their right to observe holidays as they see fit. I decided, when they were born, to let them make their own choices based on as much information as possible, according to their own wishes, and they do that. Since I do not impose my beliefs upon them, I do not allow anyone else to do it either.

I am an atheist.

Yes because its fun for the kids. But I will also tell them the
truth at the same time. I have no religion. I have a relationship
with God. He is my Father and I am His child, by the Blood of
Jesus.

Yes, I will tell them that they're real. Why not? It's all make believe and it's fun for kids to believe in that stuff. Obviously, at some point, you either tell them the truth or they figure it out, but when they're little, let them believe!

I'm Christian.

I am a Universalist, and I think that lying to children is a crock of crap. How are they going to believe adults when it comes to more serious matters?

Yes that they are just imaginary and not real like Jesus Christ. I'm Christian. The bible says not to believe in myths or fables.

I wouldn't lie to children about any of that nonsense. I'm an agnostic.
