where and what is good tattoo for me to get?

Im a guy, 18. I am thinkin of gettin a tattoo. Im not sure of what yet. thats what i need help with? what do you all think i should get? And where on my body is a good place to get it. i was thinkin my hand, but i dunno. Help me out. :) thanks.

I think tattoos are great, but, my advice to someone so young is if you really want one, make sure you get it somewhere not on constant view.

A future employer may judge against you for having a tattoo on your hand, certainly in some jobs that would look very inappropriate.

Also, you may love it now, but your tastes will change a lot in the next few years and if you don't like it later on, at least it will not be on full view the whole time!

I had a large dolphin on my hip when I was your age, now in my 30's I HATE it and am glad it only gets seen on the beach!

All decent tattoo parlours have loads of books and photos you can flick through to get ideas, there is also plenty of websites with design ideas.

First a hand tattoo for your 1st is not a good idea ...especially at 18...not until you establish yourself in your career and then see if it will effect your job. 2nd... if you have no idea what to get or where to put it you are not ready for a tattoo. You are the only one that can decide what and where. I could tell you to get oscar the grouch on your face... you see what I mean. Take the time and think about it...
