I guess they follow protocol. Seriously I think it is a joke. The person even gets sedatives before he gets the real needle. He doesnt feel a thing. Death by legal injection is a cop out, why should they be shown human compassion when their victims suffer terrible agonies? If hanging or firing squad was brought back these felons might think twice - good old electric chair, barbaric and now we are being compassionate to murders. We dont have this capitol punishment in Australia.

What you're lacking is that medical doctors are no longer accepted to take part in executions and persons who do participate are no longer to boot experienced as anesthesiolgsts. as a result, the medicine are regularly improperly administered. think of having a well being facility orderly (somewhat of a doctor) administer anesthesia for the period of an operation. The deadly injection cocktail has been banned as a thank you to euthanize animals. except sufficient of the drug to make the condemned subconscious is given, wisely, the condemned guy or woman can awaken and experience the excrutiating discomfort of the final drug. yet using paralytic drug, the condemned can not circulate or cry out so as that no one else realizes this.

That is one conundrum I have pondered repeatedly unfortunately I think of it at bedtime and it keeps me awake and is really not very relevant cause I am not planing of being on death row and even then it doesn't matter. Tell you what if I ever end up there I will tell rub the needle on the floor then insert it into my arm cause it doesn't matter if it's clean or not.

Because an order to stop the execution can conceivably come at ANY time prior to death. The Governor can stop it up to the last minute, even after the needle is inserted.

The poor murderers family would come back & claim mistreatment! I think the same way, they showed their victims no compassion, why should anyone else be made to do so for them.

It's probably a policy that was forced down their throats by same ******* who complained that prisoners needed air conditioning, exercise equipment, and cable TV.
