The Anti-Christ will not rebuild the temple. the Jews will. there will be a great war in Israel. It will appear that the Jew will be destroyed, at the end of this war God will destroy the Aggressors with Hailstones and fire from heaven. There will be no doubt who has come to the aid of the Jews. The World through the Antichrist (EU, UN?) will sign a peace agreement with Israel and Israel will begin to rebuild the temple. It will be a major undertaking and when it is ready to be consecrated, the Anti-Christ will march in and desecrate the temple and set Himself on the Throne in the Holy of Holies. In the end it will be laid to waste and Christ will return and bring with him a New Jerusalem and a new temple and will begin his thousand year reign of Peace.

The scary thing is, some have already started to rebuild it. There have been stones made ready since the 70's...some of which read,"I am Nebuchadnezar". There has also been a gathering of the specific cows used in old time sacrifices, the rare red ones. You should get hold of the book Are We Living In The End Times? by LeHaye/Jenkins

The abomination of desolation has been in Jerusalem for some years already. The Jews have not been able to construct their Temple because of the fact the abomination of desolation is provided precise on the comparable spot.

The temple on the temple mount of Jerusalem will never actually be built again. No.

There are people that believe it will be rebuilt. There are groups organized for that. However, it will not happen. These people are misguided in how they have interpreted prophecy.

not so much rebuild - but sit on the Holy Place on Temple Mount - claiming to be messiah, 'building' himself a congregation/church of followers.

maybe... but if he does he will have to bull doze the Dome of the Rock. Which I would guess might spark a holy war with the Muslims.
